Prof. Dr. Emin Alıcı said, “Our general assembly is discussing the issue of tasks related to turning the vocational school into a full four year school. If the measure is approved, a ruling will be soon issued regarding the promotion of the vocational school to a full four year school. We have just begun to discover the maritime industry. When this becomes a four year school, we will be able to fully train up the professionals needed by the maritime sector.”

After his speech, plaques were presented to people, institutions and corporations that have contributed support and labor for the maritime industry. The founding rector and directors of DİYYO together with Lucien Arkas, Chairman of the Arkas Holding, were among those who received plaques expressing the school’s gratitude.
