Arkas Italia began operations in 2008 and handles agency services for Arkas Line. Arkas Italia’s goal is to provide customers with alternatives for sea freight shipping via Arkas Line’s Mediterranean and the Black Sea routes, including those lines which do not call at Turkish ports. In 2011, Arkas signed an agreement with the Italian company Fratelli Cosulich SPA, which will enable Arkas to expand its shipping operations in Italy and open new container lines from Italy to destinations in the Mediterranean. Arkas Italia provides service with 34 employees in its office in Genoa.

In 2008, EMES International began operations in Genoa. EMES International provides feeder service to leading shipping companies. EMES International offers weekly feeder services between major hub ports in the Mediterranean and various ports in the Eastern Mediterranean, Aegean and Black Sea. Arkas vessels are employed on these services, which ensure safe and rapid transfer of containers between ports in the region.
