With the acquisition of AURETTE A, its 5th in 2017, the Arkas fleet reaches the very significant number 50.
AURETTE A (2586 TEU&186 metres) is the third of the eight eco-design vessels ordered from Zhejiang Ouhua Yard in China and sister ship to FUNDA A and LUCIEN A which were purchased in late 2016.
Leased to MCC she will be renamed MCC MEDAN.
With the purchase so far in 2017 of five container vessels, the Arkas Fleet has grown by 17% thus reaching 92,076 TEU with 57 owned vessels including its 7 bunkers barges.
Arkas is now ranked globally as the 20th container ship owner.
Next on order from Zhejiang Ouhua is ANDREA A for delivery end June.
