Arkas North Europe office celebrated the first Arkas Line call in North Europe

Arkas Line and the new Arkas North Europe Regional Office organized a dinner party to announce their new vessel call and new office opening in Hamburg to cover the North Europe Region.
Arkas continues to grow by expanding its network to the NWC.

Arkas Line entered the North Europe - West Africa trade at the end of 2015, and now operates its own ship with double capacity. Becoming a vessel operator on a new VSA with Hapag-Lloyd in the North Europe W. Africa Service (EAS), Arkas Line started to operate M/V Vivien A (2.478 TEU).

Vivien A will call; Antwerp – Hamburg – Tangier – Casablanca - Dakar - Tema – Abidjan – Tangier – Antwerp.

The 65 guests of the Belgium and Netherlands maritime sector and the Arkas management followed Vivien A from the location LILLO. Due to the severe weather conditions the best they could do was to follow 'Scheldelaan' into the DP World Terminal where Vivien A safely berthed. It was the first time that the ship came to Antwerp within the new service that connects West Africa with Hamburg and Antwerp.

Bernard Arkas, the Executive Vice President of Arkas Holding and Agency Services Group President hosted the celebration party which took place on a boat at Scheldelaan Lillo, Antwerp.

Mr Arkas mentioned ‘The service Antwerp – Hamburg – West Africa was launched at the end of 2015 but it’s the first time that we use a ship of this size (2.478 TEU), on this route. He has also added 'due to the increasing importance of North Europe for the group we have opened up a North Europe Regional Office in Hamburg in order to better serve our customers' needs. The evening ended when the boat brought the guests back to LILLO.
