The company, which supplied 875,000 tons of bunker fuel in the past year, has achieved far above par in tonage with 37% growth.
According to the 2015-16 and 2016-17 Bunker Market Reports by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority, Arkas Bunkering is the bunker fuel supplier with the highest transit bunker fuel sales. The company, having grown in 2017 by 16% in terms of tonnage, has achieved an overall growth more than two times the sector average with 37% growth. The number of Arkas Bunkering’s tanker has reached seven with the addition of the M/T Alacati and M/T Bayrakli in 2017 and reaching the total capacity of 18,888 DWT. Having one of the largest barge and youngest bunkering fleet in Turkey with the average bunker age of eight, the company continues to serve to its customers with its expert team, quality bunker fuel and competitive prices without compromising the trust associated with the name Arkas.
Arkas Bunkering supplies for one out of every three vessels
Claiming a significant share in the global bunker market and supplying bunker fuel for one out of every three vessels in Turkey, Arkas Bunkering has seen a total bunkering volume of 875,000 tons in 2017. Arkas Bunkering, in addition to Solventas Terminal in Kocaeli, serves from a second terminal in Eregli, located at the opposite side of the Marmara Sea, ensuring fast bunkering operations and product variety.

Having taken its place globally among the very few companies, which supply bunker fuel with sulfur content of 0.1%, the company has already started to take steps for compliance with the recent resolutions of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC). The committee has held its 70th convention in London and decreed for the implementation of a global maximum limit of 0,50% for sulfur.
