Arkas & Cosco starting up joint reefer serviceArkas and its VSA partner Cosco are starting a seasonal reefer service under the name of Mersin-Russia Express, MER Service by the 43th week from Mersin.
This new joint reefer service addresses customers who are mainly shipping perishable cargo and want to leverage the reliable and fast transport service by sea. With a lead time of 4 days port-to-port between Mersin and Novorossiysk,
MER connects Turkish perishable products with Russian market on weekly basis.
The weekly rotation will be;
Mersin – Novorossiysk – Mersin
First sailing will be from Mersin on October, 24th 2018.
The two carriers’ VSA will be maintained with Arkas Line operating 1 out of 2 vessels with average 450 plug capacity. Sealand-A Maersk Company will be participated under a slot space agreement on this service.
